Whether you’re brand new to Scouting or transferring from another troop, we’d love to welcome you to Troop 45. Scouting is about more than badges and campouts—it’s about building confidence, character, and friendships that last a lifetime.
Boys can join Troop 45 if they meet any of the following criteria:
Are 11 years old, or
Have completed the 5th grade, or
Have earned the Arrow of Light and are at least 10 years old,
And have not yet turned 18.
Scouting is a family journey.
We welcome and encourage parents to get involved—whether by volunteering occasionally, joining the troop committee, or becoming an Assistant Scoutmaster. No prior Scouting experience is needed—just a willingness to support the growth and development of our youth.
Getting started is easy! You can:
Stop by our weekly meeting – Wednesdays from 7:00–8:30 PM at Central Steele Creek Presbyterian Church
Fill out the contact form, and someone from our leadership team will reach out
Or contact Scoutmaster Gary Rodgers directly at 704-605-0514 or garymrodgersjr@gmail.com
